Akira Kurosawa's Dreams is a series of short stories and parables based upon actual dreams of director Akira Kurosawa. Produced partly by George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg, Dreams offers a thrilling journey of outstanding cinematography and audio to support. The series relies more on imagery than dialogue to convey the story or theme.

Perhaps Japans best know filmmaker. His films greatly influenced a generation of filmmakers throughout the world. Starting in 1943 and finishing in 1993 Akira Kurosawa’s career is much longer than his peers. His first films where made in conjunction with the Japanese government, often as propaganda films. His film Rashomon was his most successful film. Seven Samurai and Ran where also very popular.
