Spirit of Baraka newsletter – December 2005. http://www.spiritofbaraka.com
This is the first newsletter we have sent in a while. There have been many updates to the web site recently, including the addition of several new films.
Dogora is a new film that shows the people of Cambodia . It is beautifully shot, and comparable in many ways to Baraka and Koyaanisqatsi. I highly recommend it. It is currently only available from France , but is worth making the effort to get. You can view images from Dogora and find links to buy Dogora on the web site using the link below. http://www.spiritofbaraka.com/dogora-movie-dvd-french.aspx
Winged Migration is set for a DVD re-release in the US and Canada . There is no obvious change to the previous release, other than a new cover and a cheaper price! http://www.spiritofbaraka.com/winged.aspx
The BBC's Blue Planet series magnificently captures the lives of many of the creatures and plants living under our seas. I think many people will greatly enjoy this set. http://www.spiritofbaraka.com/the-blue-planet-movie-dvd.aspx
We have also added a feature whereby you can make suggestions for the images from the films, to try and identify locations.
We are always happy to hear from people who would like to make a contribution to the web site. If that's you get in touch using our contributions page.
