SpiritOfBaraka is brought to you by Darren Lambert. A huge fan of the these films,
Lucky People Center International directed by Eric Pauser and Johan Soderberg, was filmed in 1998, and stands as true masterpiece of film industry. Film is based on carefully chosen quotes and archive recordings, which, combined, give the perspective of past and present social status and life in general. Going through the speeches of wise man, believers, politics and common people, the film is underlined with phenomenal music which follows all those segments, whilst the special emphasis is put on the synchronized exchange of cadres. The whole film was created with “old shot” effect, which, additionally, fulfills the whole picture. Summarizing all events and speeches, people tales, cultures of the tribes not overtaken by civilization, we are passing through excellent describing of voodoo magic, ritual dances and everything else that is seldom seen in everyday life. It is also present the parallel between civilization and the jungle, man and animal, faith and atheism, sin and sinless life… Talking about everyday life, all happenings that surround us, ritual enigmas, political decisions that effect life, the movie will leave different impression to us, and every single one of us will have different point of view. However, we will agree in one thing…the movie will make us think, everyone for him self, but with the same point.
Lucky People Center International is now released on DVD ( PAL region 2) with english subtitles in scandinavia.
